After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill, Tom launched his career at AT&T in 1992. What started in sales quickly evolved as his instinct for technology caught attention at the highest levels. He was recruited to AT&T's headquarters in New Jersey, serving as the bridge between nationwide sales teams and Bell Labs.

That drive landed him on AT&T's Emerging Technologies team, where he played a hands-on role in launching three of the first e-commerce buying platforms. "I was there when the internet took off," he says — and he has the instincts to prove it.
After AT&T, Tom moved to California and spent years at the forefront of the indirect sales channel, rising to Executive Vice President of PSI Network. He then made a deliberate leap to entrepreneurship — founding BlueCrush Technologies and co-founding Epik, a pioneering POTS replacement solution.
In mid-2024, Tom relocated to Chattanooga, TN — a city punching well above its weight in tech and innovation. Energized by the community and the rapidly shifting AI landscape, he pivoted BlueCrush's focus entirely to artificial intelligence, relaunching as BlueCrush.ai. Today, Tom works directly with businesses to cut through the AI hype, identify what actually delivers results, and connect them with the right vendors, tools, and infrastructure to execute.
